Christmas....

2005 has been a busy year, but then that is what most people would expect from my life.

Amongst the consistent things from 2004 were working full-time for Moore College in the Department of External Studies and getting closer to finishing off my studies with them (Certificate in Theology - last exam to sit in Feb 2006). I also continued studying part-time at Sydney Missionary & Bible College for my Masters of Divinity (subjects: Greek and New Testament). Somehow amongst the mayhem that follows I managed to pass Greek with flying colours much to my joy and amazement. Living at home was quite convenient being situated between work and study.

Weddings were a monthly occurrence at the start of 2005, among them being my school friend Christine (Feb), my uni friend Jami (Mar), my cousin Peter (Apr) and then my brother Mark (Jun). I had the honour of being one of Karen's (my sister-in-law) bridesmaids the week before my first semester exams. My living quarters also expanded from one bedroom to a suite of rooms (still at home). Straight after Jami's wedding she and her husband moved to Germany.

Being a perpetual student, in August I decided to apply to study at uni again in 2006. This time doing a Diploma of Education to enable me to teach high school Maths and Computers. After much deliberation, I'll be headed to University of Technology Sydney (Kuring-gai campus) in late Feb 2006. This means I'll be saying goodbye to Moore College in mid-Feb. I'm still hoping to continue my theology studies but will probably have to undertake study by distance as my uni timetable clashes with college.

Another change for 2006 will be a change of house. Mum & Dad are headed to Lawson, so at this stage I'm going with them. For part of the week I'll probably remain based in Sydney so it will be interesting balancing my life between the two abodes.

This year I've been churching at both Summer Hill and Barneys Broadway still. My musical and computing skills kept me particularly busy at Easter and now again at Christmas, sorting out songs and services at Summer Hill. With Barneys I've been involved in a home group this year that has kept me on my toes about the Bible as well as being great for Christian fellowship.

Included below are some of snaps from the holiday I took in September/October with my cousin Martin to Germany (to visit Jami) and to UK (to meet and visit relatives). Hope you enjoy. There is probably so much more I could say about the year but I'll end here. Merry Christmas and all God's blessings for the new year.
